Swimming: Golden doubles for city swimmers

Portobello High School’s Chris McColm and Lasswade High School’s Iain Rose both claimed golden doubles at the weekend’s Brodies Scottish Schools’ Championships in East 
Kilbride.

McColm won the 200 metres breaststroke and 100m backstroke in the 15-16 year section, while Rose had a breaststroke double in the senior 17-19 age-group. In the 12 years and under, Archie Goodburn (Stewart’s Melville College) won the 50m freestyle and his time of 30.26 was rewarded with the top boys’ award for his age-group.
