EDINBURGH UNIVERSITY’S hockey side moved into the quarter-finals of the British Universities and Colleges Sports Cup for the first time in nine years thanks to a 6-3 victory at Oxford University.

Paul Heron, Callum Duke, Tom Kemsley, Neil McNiven, Jay Harmon and Stuart Laing netted for Edinburgh.

Edinburgh’s women were edged 1-0 by Loughborough at Peffermill in the last 16 of their competition.
