Squash: Ferguson wins

EDINBURGH teenager Chris Ferguson (Waverley) has won through the first round of the £10,000 Artemis Sports Club Squash Open at Belford Road.

In earning the right to play world-ranked top-20 star Ong Beng Hee, from Malaysia, tonight, 19-year-old Ferguson defeated world deaf champion Jamie Matthews in straight sets

Also through are host club pair Simon Boughton and Chris Gray.
