The best-ever Liverpool? Scots have a special connection with Anfield and, even if we don’t call the Reds our English team, then a special affection for how the ground’s floodlights circa 1977 could miss dark blue-clad arms flailing around in penalty-boxes – so we’ll have a view of Jurgen Klopp’s title-winners.

The Three Amigos (Mane, Salah, Firmino) deserve to be talked about in the same breath as the Three Gadgies (Dalglish, Souness, Hansen) and Klopp, inset, is hugely charismatic. We understand why his men have run and run for him, none more than Andy Robertson, and they’ve needed to do this, because I’m still not quite sure how the league was won without any real flair in the midfield.
