So You Think's star status put to Ascot test

So You Think takes centre stage on day two of Royal Ascot as the Australian import bids to further enhance his massive reputation in today's Prince of Wales's Stakes.

The five-year-old switched to the care of Aidan O'Brien over the winter and has won both his starts in Ireland in ultra-impressive fashion, including the Tattersalls Gold Cup last time. Five times a Group 1 winner in Australia, So You Think will try to maintain his 100 per cent record in Europe in the mile-and-a-quarter showpiece.

"He hadn't done anything serious at home and we had just been playing with him at home for his first two starts," O'Brien said. "He's had two easy runs, and his work has been getting a little bit more serious since, so it will be interesting to see.

"Obviously we were very happy with him at the Curragh in the Tattersalls, but this will be another jump up with more serious contenders to run against him, so it will be interesting."

Ryan Moore takes the ride for the second time, having partnered the huge colt in the second of his races on the Curragh.

The Godolphin-owned Rewilding is reported to be ready for a return to racecourse action after being given a break following his victory in the Dubai Sheema Classic at Meydan in March. Although originally thought of primarily as a stayer – he went off favourite for last year's St Leger and his big Dubai win was at a mile and a half – connections believe the drop to ten furlongs could be in his favour.

"We like to go fresh to a race and I think he will run a big race in Ascot. We space his races because if we run him too soon, he doesn't run a good race," trainer Mahmood Al Zarooni said.

Codemaster is fancied to win the day-two-opening Jersey Stakes following an impressive seasonal bow at Newmarket last month.

The three-year-old won one of his three starts as a juvenile, finishing second on the other two occasions, including in the ultra-competitive Two-Year-Old Trophy at Redcar. He encountered fast ground for the first time at Newmarket when lining up in a Listed heat and although he looked in trouble two furlongs out, he kept finding a little more and eventually won by two lengths in a track-record time. Henry Candy immediately nominated the Jersey as a likely target and the hint should be taken.

Seta is napped to win a competitive Windsor Forest Stakes, while The Royal Hunt Cup presents the usual punting conundrum but Mont Agel is the choice for the combination of Michael Bell and Johnny Murtagh.

Shumoos could prove hard to beat in the Queen Mary following an eyecatching victory on her racecourse introduction while Rougette is an intriguing proposition from the foot of the weights in what looks a weak renewal of the Sandringham Handicap.

Meanwhile, Hamilton Park will start a 50-day countdown to this summer's 2011 Lanarkshire International Children's Games with a raceday dedicated to the major event.

On the track, there are seven races which have attracted 65 declarations including representation from the Newmarket yards of Sir Mark Prescott, Alan Bailey and Ed Vaughan.
