Granton snooker ace Craig MacGillivray will need to be at the top of his game today when he faces former world No. 8 Darren Morgan at the European Championship Masters event in Poland after comfortably defeating Austria’s Richard Kornberger 4-1 in the last 32.
Rhys Clark (Stonehouse) defeated Pole Patryk Maslowski 4-1 and now faces Ireland’s John Sutton in the last 32, but Motherwell’s Michael Collumb is out.
Meanwhile, Locarno’s Scott Donaldson lost out 5-3 to England’s Rory McLeod in the final qualifying round of the Australian Open in Gloucester. McLeod thus secured a place in the final stages of the event in Bendigo, Victoria next month.
