Scottish struggle in windy Indian event

CHALLENGE TOUR: The Scottish contingent found the going tough in blustery conditions in the first round of the Gujarat Kensville Challenge, the opening event of the 2012 season.

None of the five Scots in action at Kensville Golf and Country Club, in Ahmedabad, finished the day under par, with Andrew McArthur and Raymond Russell the best placed after one-over-par 73s.

Next best were Chris Doak and Callum Macaulay on two over par, while Jack Doherty will need a marked turnaround in his fortunes in order to make the 60-man cut after a 77.
