Scots quartet named in British teams

ORIENTEERING: Three Scots – Christopher Galloway (Boroughmuir High School), Rosalind Shepherd (Dingwall Academy) and Alexander Chepelin (Banchory Academy) – have been named in a 12-strong British team for the European Youth Championships in Bugeat, France from 27 June to 1 July.

Chris, the British Schools’ Champion, and Rosalind will both be competing in the 18-year-old section and Alexander is in the 16-year-old age-group.

The squad will prepare for the trip to France with a training camp in the Lake District at the start of next month.

Meanwhile, Rona Lindsay, a former Craigmount High School pupil now at Edinburgh University, has been selected in the British team for the Junior World Championships in Kosice, Slovakia, from 7-14 July.
