Scots come from behind to beat Norwegians

SCOTLAND'S men opened their campaign at the World Men's Curling Championship in Cortina, Italy with a 5-4 win over Norway.

After opening the scoring with a two in the fourth end, the Scots came from behind in the closing ends for this win, eventually scoring two in the tenth for victory.

The Norwegians took silver at the recent Vancouver Olympic Games but took to the ice without their skip Thomas Ulsrud, who had to rush home from Italy because his wife had taken ill.

The Scots continue their round-robin programme with games against Sweden and then France today.
