Schools skiing: Taylor sparkles in Mearns Castle win

Ross Taylor (Mearns Castle High School) led his team to victory in the inaugural Snowsport Scotland Schools Alpine Series – and he was also top boy at the finals at Cairngorm.

The finals were divided into primary and secondary and red (race training) and blue (recreational) categories.

Merans Castle won the secondary red with the local Abernethy team of Rhona Taylor, Calum Langmuir, Molly Vaughan, Joanna Crane taking the primary equivalent.

Aleysha Rattray (Robert Gordon’s College) won the individual girls’ secondary title, while the top primary racers were Beth Whatford (Westhill and Clyne) and Calum Cook (Cawdor).
