School Sports: Balwearie are kings of the pool in Fife

SWIMMING: Balwearie High School won the inter-schools trophy at the 31st swimming gala for pupils with additional support needs in Fife.

Pupils from host school Lochgelly HS were joined by others from Balwearie HS, Woodmill HS, Glenrothes HS, Buckhaven HS and Lochgelly North School in the event organised by Disability Sport Fife.

Balwearie finished top with 94 points, the runners-up were Woodmill HS with 70 and third were Lochgelly HS with 64.

The relays are always a highlight of the 48-event programme and this year the girls from Balwearie HS and the boys from Lochgelly HS were the relay race winners.
