Ex-England manager Steve McClaren has emerged as a surprise candidate for the vacant job at Rangers. McClaren is working as a coaching consultant with Maccabi Tel Aviv after being linked with the head coaching role at Hearts earlier this season. McInnes urged to reject Rangers
Gary Mackay-Steven has urged Derek McInnes to remain at Aberdeen and reject any offer to become the next manager of Rangers. The winger praised his manager’s qualities and disagreed with the notion that he’d taken the Pittodrie club as far as he could. McInnes remains Rangers No.1 choice to succeed Pedro Caixinha. Levein’s Tynecastle warning

Scotland could face Argentina
Scotland could be set to travel to Africa for a friendly match with Argentina next year. Morocco, hopeful of hosting the World Cup in 2026, are planning to host a mini-tournament to show their suitability. Foderingham backs Murty
Rangers goalkeeper Wes Foderingham says he’d be delighted if Graeme Murty was made the club’s new manager on a permanent basis. The Ibrox side made it six points from six under the caretaker’s charge with a 3-0 victory over Partick Thistle at the weekend.
