Rugby: Wales to go on the attack

WALES are promising to bring an attacking brand of rugby to Carisbrook in Dunedind tomorrow and are determined not to end their latest encounter against New Zealand without crossing the whitewash.

Stand-off Stephen Jones has kicked all of the Welsh points in the past two Tests matches between the sides, the 19-12 loss in Cardiff last year and the 29-9 defeat at the Millennium Stadium 12 months previously.

But full-back Lee Byrne, who missed the 2009 encounter through injury, believes that in himself and wingers Leigh Halfpenny and Tom Prydie, Wales have the attacking players to test the All Blacks.

"The attacking players we have in our team are a good threat," the Ospreys full-back said. "The All Blacks have good attacking players, so it's going to be a good match-up."
