69 - The number of matches Wales have won in total, comprising 43 victories in Wales, 25 in Scotland, and one at a neutral venue (Wembley, in the 1998 Five Nations Championship).

9 - It’s nine years since Scotland last recorded victory over Wales - a 21-9 win at Murrayfield during the 2007 Six Nations. Scotland still finished bottom that year on points difference.

5 - Scotland’s longest winning streak, coming between February 1923 and February 1927.

48 - The largest winning margin between the two teams, coming during the 51-3 victory in 2014 in Cardiff.

14 - It’s been 14 years since Scotland last registered a victory in Wales. Ian McGeechan’s side defeated Wales 27-22 in Cardiff thanks to two tries from Gordon Bulloch, a conversion from Brendan Laney, four penalties from Brendan Laney and one penalty from Duncan Hodge.

26 - The Welsh have won the Six Nations Championship 26 times in all guises (Six Nations, Five Nations, Home Nations Championship) and have shared victory 11 times.

28 - The number of points both sides scored during the last draw - in 2001, at Murrayfield.

0 - Total number of points scored in the third meeting between the two sides at Hamilton Crescent in Glasgow, in 1885. ‘Goals’ were awarded for a successful conversion after a try was scored; for a dropped goal, or a goal from mark. In the event of drawn games, unconverted tries were totalled up to give a winner. If there was still no clear winner, then the match was declared a draw.
