The Scotland stand-off took time out from national squad training this week to take us through his routine to kick the kind of drop-goal that he delivered to perfection in the Stadio Olimpico to claim victory over Italy.

In the short masterclass at his old club ground at Cambuslang - where the weather was more ‘Scottish’ than that of Rome, Weir explains the coaching points to delivering an accurate drop-kick time after time.
