CGI, which provides IT and business consulting services, has vowed to stand by the Knights during these tough times.

The inaugural Super6 season was halted by the coronavirus pandemic in March. The Melrose-based Knights are one of six franchise teams. It is hoped that Super6 can start up again in March 2021.

The partnership between CGI and the Southern Knights is rooted to the local community and Knights players will help deliver fitness camps for children living in deprived areas. The club will also support CGI initiatives to promote future career choices in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) subjects.

Southern Knights coach Rob Chrystie said: “We’re all really thrilled that CGI is remaining as our headline sponsor. Our agreement to work in partnership for the benefit of the wider community and is such a great fit with the Southern Knights ethos.”
