Six Nations: Scott Johnson hailed by Shaun Edwards

Interim Scotland rugby coach Scott Johnson has been today hailed for his pioneering work in rugby by one of the
opposition coaching team for Saturday’s visit to Murrayfield by Wales in the RBS Six Nations Championship.

Shaun Edwards said: “People like Scott Johnson are good for the game. They get newspaper space, particularly somewhere like Scotland where you get Celtic, Rangers and football being very dominant.

“If people can get headlines for rugby, it’s obviously good for the game. We need characters in the game of rugby, and Scott is definitely a character, isn’t he.”

On the pitch Edwards has picked out a particular threat posed by those in Dark Blue on Saturday. “You have to be careful of (Stuart) Hogg and his counter-attacking, and both the wings can score tries,” he said.
