Sean Lamont replaces injured Tim Visser on Scotland tour
The 104-times capped Glasgow Warrior is a direct replacement in Vern Cotter’s 27-man squad for the injured Harlequins wing, who was ruled out of the tour with a knee injury sustained while playing for his club in the European Rugby Challenge Cup final, which they lost 29-16 to Montpellier in Lyon.
Lamont, who recently signed a one-year contract extension with Glasgow, won his 100th cap at last year’s Rugby World Cup and this year played in three Six Nations matches this year, starting against Wales and coming off the bench twice.

Hide AdVisser missed the first two Six Nations matches with a hamstring before winning his place back and playing in the remaining three games of the tournament.
The Scotland squad are due to convene at BT Murrayfield on Monday 6 June before flying out to Japan for the Test matches in Toyota (18 June) and Tokyo (25 June).
Lamont’s first focus will be on this Saturday evening’s Guinness Pro12 semi-final against Connacht in Galway as Glasgow look to book a place in the BT Murrayfield final and reclaim the title they won last year.
Warriors coach Gregor Townsend will name his team for the match tomorrow.
