Scotland centre Duncan Taylor suffers serious knee injury

Scotland centre Duncan Taylor has suffered another setback, sustaining a serious knee injury while playing for Saracens' second string in the Premiership Shield.

Taylor, who was making his comeback after a series of head injuries, damaged anterior cruciate ligaments against Exeter.

It is the latest blow for the talented threequarter who has twice undergone ankle surgery and has torn knee ligaments previously.

Taylor, 29, has been capped 21 times by Scotland. He now faces a race against time to be fit for next year’s Rugby World Cup in Japan.
