RBS Bowl & Shield: Livingston to meet Marr in final

Players from Livingston, Marr, Oban Lorne and Grangemouth Stags are all woke up yesterday morning with dreams of a day out at Murrayfield now a reality after they won their respective RBS Shield and Bowl semi-finals on Saturday.

Livingston will meet Marr in the Shield final on 20 April at the national stadium.

The points for Livingston in their semi-final against Gala YM at Almond Park came from tries through Stevie Logan and Ross Neil while Craig Bolan kicked five penalties and one conversion. Marr went up to Woodside and became the first team to defeat Aberdeenshire on their own patch in over two years, coming away with a 44-20 win.

In their Bowl semi-final, Oban Lorne were flying against Broughton to win 27-0 at Glencruitten.

The tries came from Ryan Jackson, Tommy Sutherland, Ruaridh Aitken and Allan Wright while there was also a penalty and two conversions from Craig Wright.

At Glensburgh it was a much tighter affair where the hosts Grangemouth Stags eventually saw off the Kinloss Eagles 23-20.
