Nick De Luca quits Edinburgh for Biarritz

Edinburgh Rugby’s Nick De Luca has become the latest Scotland international to quit the capital club, announcing yesterday that he will join Biarritz at the end of the season.

The centre follows captain Greig Laidlaw and prop Geoff Cross out of Murrayfield, with the pair having agreed deals to join Gloucester and London Irish respectively.

De Luca, capped 41 times, was an apprentice with Edinburgh as a teenager before joining Border Reivers in 2006. He moved back to Murrayfield in summer 2007 and has gone on to make 125 appearances for the club.De Luca said: “I would like to thank Edinburgh Rugby for the last eight years. I have sunk my heart and soul into the club and loved being a part of it. It’s not only where I have learnt my rugby but where I have grown up, had a family and become the person I am today.
