SCOTLAND centre Matt Scott will be out until December after undergoing shoulder surgery, his club Edinburgh have confirmed.
Scott went off injured during Edinburgh’s final match of last season on May 10 and missed Scotland’s summer tour of the Americas and South Africa.
And now he will miss the home games against Argentina, New Zealand and Tonga in November.
A statement from Edinburgh read: “Centre Matt Scott has had surgery to correct the injury endured when he dislocated his shoulder against Leinster in the last game of the season. He is expected to be available for selection around December.”
The club also gave updates on their other injured players with winger Tom Brown out until October after an operation to remove his appendix hindered his rehabilitation from knee ligament damage sustained in May.
Prop Allan Dell is also out until October after surgery to repair a torn chest muscle while full-back Jack Cuthbert and forwards Mike Coman and Willem Nel are all expected to return from knee problems in September.
