The American international, pictured, came off the bench to make his first appearance for his new club in last Friday’s 31-14 win over Treviso at Scotstoun. However, Irish referee David Wilkinson showed him two yellow cards for what the official deemed to be “no arms” tackles. The first meant a sin-binning for the 27-year-old, with the second resulting in a red card.

Haupeakui gave evidence by video link to yesterday’s hearing in Dublin and the Pro12 said in a statement last night: “Having heard evidence from the player and submissions from Glasgow Warriors, the panel determined that neither yellow card was warranted and therefore the question of further sanction does not arise.”

Glasgow face Scarlets in Wales on Saturday, with coach Gregor Townsend due to name his team tomorrow.

Glasgow prop Alex Allan, meanwhile, has been called into the Scotland squad for the autumn Tests as “precautionary injury cover”. With fellow looseheads Alasdair Dickinson and Gordon Reid continuing their rehabilitation from hamstring and back injuries respectively, Allan, 24, has been summoned to the national side’s training base at
Oriam in Edinburgh.

Allan made his Scotland debut as a second-half substitute for Reid in the 24-6 win over the USA on the 2014 summer tour. He played previously for Edinburgh Accies and Edinburgh Rugby before making the switch to Glasgow.

The Scots open their autumn campaign against Australia at BT Murrayfield on 12 November. They then face Argentina as the same venue a week later before concluding the series against Georgia at Rugby Park, Kilmarnock, on 26 November.
