Glasgow Warriors v Munster: Two changes from side that beat Connacht

Dave Rennie has made just two changes to his side as Glasgow Warriors prepare to host Munster in Friday night's PRO14 clash at Scotstoun.

Adam Ashe, who came off the bench to score the match-winning try in Galway last weekend, is rewarded with a start at Number 8 while Fraser Brown joins Oli Kebble and Zander Fagerson in the front-row.

Rob Harley is shifted from the flank into the engine room to partner Jonny Gray and club co-captains Callum Gibbins and Ryan Wilson complete the forward pack.

Stuart Hogg will be hoping to build on his performance last week in the back-line where he is joined by Tommy Seymour - who crossed the whitewash against Connacht last week - and DTH van der Merwe.

Ali Price and Matt Fagerson have both recovered from injury to take a seat among the replacements, with Scotland cap Jamie Bhatti also taking a seat on the bench.

Glasgow have a lengthy injury list, with Brian Alainu’uese out with a back injury; Bruce Flockhart and Lelia Masaga both nursing shoulder complaints; Chris Fusaro has a head knock while Sam Johnson is struggling with his head and knee; Huw Jones and Kiran McDonald have wrist and hand injuries respectively while Tim Swinson (lower limb) and Siua Halanukanuka (foot) are also sidelined. Lee Jones completes the sicklist with an Achilles problem.

Rennie said: “Over the last year there has been a lot of changes week-to-week based on availability, rotating internationals and injuries so it is good to have some continuity from the game last week.

Munster are a quality side and are consistently up at the top end of our league and in Europe based around a really strong pack.

“They are smart tactically, kick really well and look after the ball so our discipline will be important, but we’ve trained really positively this week and can’t wait to get back out in front of our vocal home support.”
