Glasgow Warriors give debuts to Hamish Bain and TJ Ioane in Wales

Hamish Bain and TJ Ioane will make their Glasgow Warriors debuts against the Ospreys in Swansea on Saturday evening.

The Warriors’ preparations were disrupted this week when one of their players tested positive for Covid-19, and a further two players were forced to self-isolate after coming into close contact.

Their squad was already shorn of some of their international players and there are nine changes in total to the side that beat Scarlets last time out.

Bain is joined in the second-row by Richie Gray, who has been released from the Scotland squad in a bid to given him more game time.

Samoan international Ioane is picked at No 8 and is joined in the back row by captain Ryan Wilson and openside Tom Gordon.

Jamie Dobie is handed his first start of the season at scrum-half, and will be partnered by the experienced Pete Horne at stand-off.

Huw Jones, also released from the Scotland camp, retains the 15 jersey.
