Coach Kenny Murray, said: “Following the recent Arnold Clark Legacy 7s Series events we have selected a squad of players who have performed well and who have been highlighted by the core team coaches as players worthy of selection.

“We feel that we have a good mixture of players who have the necessary physicality, speed and skills to compete in a game at this level. Selection was very difficult but we have decided to go with players who are from the core Legacy 7s Series teams.

“Within the squad there is a good blend of youth and experience with players such as Grant Strang and Brian Archibald providing vast knowledge and understanding of the sevens game, which will be beneficial to the younger players including Tony Heron and Ross Inglis.

“Players to watch include the hugely impressive Andrew Gilman at scrum-half and the electric Tony Heron who is one to watch for the future.”
