BS Scottish Cup draw: Melrose face trip to Selkirk

SCOTLAND’S four British and Irish Cup teams were given byes to the quarter-finals of the RBS Scottish Cup, but all four are away from home, which means a short trip for Melrose to Selkirk in a Borders derby.

The cup was competed along regional lines this season with champions emerging from the Borders, Caledonia, Edinburgh and Glasgow to take up the four home spots in the quarter-final draw. Dundee, Gala, Melrose and Stirling County parachute in after securing the top four places in last season’s championship and competing in the cross-border tournament.

RBS CUP QUARTER-FINAL DRAW: Selkirk v Melrose, Currie or Heriot’s v Dundee HSFP, Aberdeen Grammar v Gala, Glasgow Hawks or Ayr v Stirling County (ties on Saturday 2 March).
