Leaders Musselburgh fought back from 15-5 down to defeat RHC Cougars in RBS National One on Saturday.

Before the match the East Lothian side had won 12 out of 12, but it almost became unlucky 13 for them in the Capital. On a windswept day the home side scored two unconverted tries in the first-half before Musselburgh winger James Murray pulled things back to 10-5 at the break. Early on in the second 40 minutes the Cougars got their third try of the afternoon to go 15-5 up before Musselburgh showed why they are champions elect.

Firstly prop Ryan Black got a try and then teenage stand-off Danny Owenson kicked two penalties to edge them ahead 16-15. That was a one point lead they held on to.

Elsewhere in the division bottom side Livingston lost 24-5 at home to second placed Hawick YM, while third bottom Linlithgow lost 17-0 ar Dunfermline.
