Rugby: Logan brokers EMC deal for Scots' autumn Tests

FORMER winger Kenny Logan today brokered a deal that will see technology firm EMC Computer Systems (UK) Limited sponsor Scotland's Autumn rugby Test series' for the next three years.

This year's series starts against world No.1's New Zealand at Murrayfield on Saturday week and Logan's involvement is through his marketing firm. EMC also sponsor his former club, London Wasps.

Scottish Rugby Chief Executive Gordon McKie praised the deal with a global firm who have a branch at Livingston, saying: "To secure support from EMC which employs over 40,000 people and is represented in more than 60 countries is immensely heartening and speaks volumes for the impact that the Scotland team, under the leadership of head coach, Andy Robinson, is making."

"We know we face tough Autumn Tests – against New Zealand, South Africa and Samoa this year – but our team is pledged to continue the improvement shown last season,"

Kenny Logan said: "I'm a passionate Scot and anything I can do to assist what Andy Robinson and the current Scotland team are doing to enhance the status of Scottish Rugby gives me great pride."
