Rugby: Leaders cash in on call-offs

NORTH BERWICK put in a workmanlike performance to see off Dunbar 18-3 at Hallhill on Saturday and extend their lead at the top of Scottish Hydro East One.

The East Lothian side took advantage of other matches being off to post their 12th victory of the season. Back-row Ben Inglis scored a try before going off injured and his replacement Danny Thorburn got the other try.

Stand-off Grant Craig kicked the other eight points for North Berwick in windy conditions. They are now nine points clear of second-place Portobello, who have two matches in hand.

In National One, Livingston lost 25-11 at Whitecraigs.
