Rugby: Calum just Champion for Dunbar

Calum CHAMPION scored two tries to help move Dunbar closer to the RBS East 2 title at the weekend with a 39-10 win over Gala YM.

Dunbar went 13-3 up on their home turf at Hallhill thanks to a try from Gary Peebles – who beat two men after receiving the ball to go over the line – and the boot of skipper Jamie Peters.

The visitors reduced the arrears, but before the interval the East Lothian men scored their second converted try of the afternoon. This time the scorer was Champion. Dunbar pulled further ahead in the second half with Champion’s second and further tries from James Kelly and Steve Bissett.
