Rowing: Grainger aiming to feel some deja vu

KATHERINE Grainger, Scotland's three-times Olympic silver medallist and four-times world champion, will be hoping lightning strikes twice as she lines up for two finals at the second round of rowing's World Cup in Munich today.

First she will race in the double sculls final, with new partner Anna Watkins, and then, an hour later, Grainger and Watkins will be back on the start-line alongside Annie Vernon and Beth Rodford in the final of quadruple sculls.

This replicates what happened three weeks ago at the first round of the World Cup, in Slovenia, when Grainger led the British women to two golds.
