Rosanna getting in on the sister act

CROSS COUNTRY: Rosanna Stewart (Mary Erskine’s School), the third of four sisters making a name for themselves on the athletics’ scene, will be competing for the Scottish under-17 team in this Saturday’s Aviva Schools Cross Country International at Strathallan.

Rosanna’s older sister, Emily, has been named in the British team for the World University Cross Country Championships in Poland next month, while Louisa was fourth overall and the top schools’ performer at the Home Countries International at Rouken Glen.

Esme is the youngest of the four sisters – and she is also one of the best in her age-group on the cross country circuit. All four are members of Edinburgh Athletics’ Club. In all, 32 youngsters will be running for Scotland on Saturday.
