Robinson: Hearts confident ahead of Rangers clash

SCOTT ROBINSON stressed today that Hearts will head to Ibrox brimming with confidence this weekend determined to record a victory to end Rangers' ten-match unbeaten domestic run.

The 17-year-old explained that he and his colleagues have no fear of the trip to Glasgow despite the presence of several teenagers within Csaba Laszlo's squad.

A recent league revival, including their own six-game unbeaten league run, has propelled the Edinburgh club into the SPL's top six, a rise from which Robinson derives considerable belief.

"We're going there with no fear because there's great confidence in the dressing-room just now. Hopefully we can get at least a draw but we're going for the win," he said.

"It would be great to be involved in such a big occasion. I've never played in front of such a big crowd before, so it would be brilliant. I've never even been to Ibrox. Hopefully I can put in a good performance and keep my place in the team.

"It's good going to big stadiums with the first team so Saturday will be great. I do get nervous at the start of a game, just as we're about to kick off. Once you get the first few touches you're okay. The experienced boys like Mikey Stewart and Jose Goncalves are always talking to me in training and games so that helps a lot."

Midfielder David Templeton will not feature against Rangers after twisting his ankle in training. Hearts sent the player for a scan which revealed no significant damage. "Fortunately, it's just an ankle knock," explained Laszlo.

"It's obviously a concern when you must check a player with a scan, but David is fine. We are disappointed that he probably won't be fit for Saturday, but relieved it's nothing more than a knock."
