Racing: Dalgleish has high hopes for Hamilton

KEITH Dalgleish sends ten horses on the short trip from his Carluke base to Hamilton Park where he is double-handed in the Book Now For Saints & Sinners Handicap.

His runners in the six-furlong £10,000 feature are Jeannie Galloway and Chookie Avon, who will be the first ride for Tyneside claimer Georginia Baxter. Dalgleish said: “Georgie is our stable apprentice and she’s from Bellingham, near Newcastle. Chookie Avon is having his first run since he was just beaten a head at Kempton in May. Jeannie Galloway should go well if the rain comes.”

The first runners for the Lanarkshire stable are Secret Advice and Salvatore Fury in the McGhee’s Teaz Raceday Next Wednesday Handicap. Dalgleish added: “Secret Advice won well at Carlisle two runs ago but disappointed at Yarmouth. Salvatore Fury kept on nicely to win over course and distance last time and has conditions to suit.”

Another Dalgleish representative with a chance is Arr’ Kid in the Racing UK Maiden Stakes and the trainer said: “He ran really well when second to a useful winner at Newcastle on his debut. He’s back slightly in trip and hopeful he will have come on for the run.”

Also in the line-up is Jadesnumberone for the Michael Bell/Hayley Turner combination which is also represented in the classified stakes by Oilinda and Wildcrafting in the five-furlong handicap.
