Penicuik pay penalty after tense Bo'ness semi-final

Bo'ness reached the final of the Fife and Lothian's cup where they will meet staunch rivals Linlithgow on Saturday, June 11, after beating Penicuik 4-2 on penalties following a 0-0 draw.

Hero of the night was Bo'ness keeper Stewart Baillie who produced a brilliant save from Johnny Harvey late on as Penicuik searched for a goal which would have taken them through in regulation time. Then, with the game going ahead to a penalty shoot out, he saved the first two spot kicks from Harvey and Charlie Brigain.

Both sides were guilty of careless passes and mistimed tackles during normal time. Derek Fleming and Andy Shirra both scored with their spot kicks for Bo'ness following the Harvey and Brigain misses. Keith Barr restored some pride for Penicuik with his kick but Chris McFadyen did the same. Mark Smith gave Penicuik their second of the shoot and it was left to Will Snowdon to secure victory for Bo'ness.
