O’Leary in e200,000 boost for McNamara fund

RYANAIR boss Michael O’Leary has donated e200,000 to a fund for paralysed jockey JT McNamara.

The amateur rider is in hospital after suffering serious neck injuries in a fall at the Cheltenham Festival last month.

O’Leary’s own horse Akorakor won the point-to-point bumper race at the Irish Grand National meeting at Fairyhouse yesterday.

The budget airline owne promised e200,000 to the winning owner of the race and after claiming the prize himself, the Irish millionaire, whose War of Attrition won the2006 Cheltenham Gold Cup, donated the money to McNamara.
