Neill gives dad a lift

In the only East Seniors match to survive the weather, Berwick Rangers Reserves beat hosts Eyemouth United 2-1 in the First Division.

And it was a moment of magic from manager's son Kristian Neill which moved Berwick into the promotion race.

The 21-year-old midfielder scored a sensational winner to sink the Fishermen.

Ross Aitchison had fired Eyemouth in front on the half hour after sustained pressure on the visitors' goal but the lead only lasted eight minutes as Kevin Carter managed to stab a Bob Burley corner over the line.

Jordan Ainslie was red-carded for his second bookable offence just before the hour - and Berwick took immediate advantage. Within two minutes, Neill latched on to Bailey's searching cross-field ball to spectacularly volley over the head of Dean Avery from 15 yards out.
