National whitewash for Borders team

CURLING: Skip Amy Bryce and Kirsty Fairbairn, Gregg Cessford, Angus Thomson and Jack Fleming, the under-13 team from the Border Ice Rink in Kelso, completed a Grand Slam of national wins over the East (Stirling, five shots to one), North (Aberdeen 7-1) and West (Hamilton 6-2) in Dumfries Ice Bowl.

The youngsters train twice a week at the Border Ice Rink and receive valuable support from Youth Chex, Roxburgh Sports Council and the Border Curling Development Group.

Kelso High School has a team – Cameron Bryce, Lorna Shaw, Neil Sutherland, Calum Potts and Amy Bryce – in this weekend’s Scottish Schools Championship Finals at Murrayfield.
