Munster lock Donncha O’Callaghan backs Michael Bradley to call the right shots on Sunday

EDINBURGH Rugby coach Michael Bradley has been given a much needed boost today – from his native Ireland.

Looking ahead to Sunday’s Heineken European Cup clash with Edinburgh at Murrayfield, the Munster lock, Donncha O’Callaghan, said the presence of Bradley calling the shots in opposition makes him wary.

“He was my first (club) coach,” said O’Callaghan. “I know him well, I played under him, I know exactly what he’ll be saying in the dressing-room. I know exactly how much he’ll want that win.

“There are times when games can lift your season and be a turning point and we know that they’re quality players who probably haven’t been performing as well as they’d like.

“So we know they’ll be gunning for a performance and sometimes when you can play free, and the shackles are off and you’re not worried about anything, you can just go and play and put in massive performances.”

While Edinburgh are out of contention it is a must-win game for Munster.

“If it was at four o’clock in the morning, we’d be up for it,” added O’Callaghan.
