PAUL DI RESTA has targeted
a “really special result” at the British Grand Prix in three weeks after he delivered an
exceptional drive to get from 17th to seventh in yesterday’s Canadian GP.

The Uphall-born Force
India driver had to overcome a series of technical problems throughout the weekend to coax his car into the points, which came on the back of tyre issues in the Monaco GP two weeks before. The Scot now believes that if he and his team can get everything right for the Silverstone race on June 30, then they have a great chance of achieving an even stronger placing.

“That was a hell of a drive,” Di Resta said after the race in
Montreal. “Especially given the weekend we had. We had no long run data from Friday through an electric box failure, then with the gearbox issue it’s been
testing for the guys.

“Next up is the British Grand Prix. It’s our home grand prix and I’ve said to the guys, if there’s one race in which we need to get all three days of the race weekend right, it’s Silverstone.

“If we do that, we have the opportunity to deliver a really special result. Canada was the team’s 100th grand prix; hopefully we can have an even bigger party to celebrate if we get everything right at Silverstone.”
