Modern pentathlon first for Scotland

ABERDEEN will play host to Scotland’s first modern pentathlon international competition this weekend when the Meta Scottish Outlaws take on the Irish Youths.

The contest, organised by Scottish Saltires Modern Pentathlon Club, will see the Irish side compete against a team of 26 Scots in the combined swim, ride, fence, shoot and run event. The riding takes place tomorrow at Hayfield Equestrian Centre with the remaining phases on Sunday at the International School of Aberdeen.
