Minute to mark former player Sims

Stewart’s MELVILLE will start the season with a minute’s silence in memory of ex-player Steven Sims, who died in May, before launching their National League campaign against Hawick at Inverleith with Mike Crawley, Struan Allan and Adrian Duncan returned to the fold and Gregor Porteous and Chris Damsteeg making debuts.

Young Edinburgh hooker George Turner starts for Stew/Mel. As a curtain raiser Stew/Mel 2nds face Glasgow Hawks counterparts at 1pm.
