Mexico five test positive

THE Mexico Football Federation have suspended five members of their Gold Cup squad after they tested positive for clembuterol.

Antonio Naelson, Christian Bermudez, Edgar Duenas, Francisco Javier Rodriguez and Guillermo Ochoa all failed a test at a pre-tournament training camp.

CONCACAF general secretary Chuck Blazer said a meeting of the Gold Cup's organising committee will meet today to discuss the issue and rule on whether Mexico can call replacements into their squad.

Despite the controversy, Mexico beat Cuba 5-0 yesterday.
