McColgan nets PB in Watford 1,500m

SCOTTISH prospect Eilish McColgan sliced seven seconds off her personal best to win the 1,500 metres at the BMC meeting in Watford. The Dundee runner ran 4:14.44 to claim victory with fellow Scot Beth Potter back in eighth.

Lynsey Sharp stunned a quality field, including world championship finalist Marilyn Okoro, to win the 800m in 2:02:48, while Sarah Kelly, who is coached by Liz McColgan, picked up a qualifying mark for the European Under-20 Championship with the GB international running 2:06.26 in the B race.
