Edinburgh-based Freya Ross and Ross Houston (Roslin) have been named alongside 42-year-old Kilbarchan veteran Hayley Haining, who will be going to her second Games, and Montrose and former Edinburgh AC pole vaulter Gregor MacLean.

For Ross, Britain’s leading finisher in the London 2012 Olympics, the announcement comes after a worrying two weeks when her fitness was in doubt following her withdrawal through injury during the Great Edinburgh Run last month.
