Lothians 1st

A STRONG Lothians side won the SSGS Scottish Seniors Team Tournament at Pitfirrane by one shot from Stirlingshire and South.

Broomieknowe’s David Gardner led the way at the Crossford course with a 71 that included a 3-3-3 finish, two of them for eagles.

He was ably backed up by Ian Taylor (Royal Burgess), Lindsay Gordon (Turnhouse), George Blair (Haddington), Robert Jack (Liberton) and David Gillespie (Turnhouse) as Lothians lifted the trophy for the first time in its five-year 
history.
