Loretto Junior pupils inspired by Caitlin McClatchey
Caitlin McClatchey, the triple Olympian and double Commonwealth Games gold medallist, visited Loretto Junior School and put the pupils through their paces in the sports hall.
During her visit, McClatchey also shared some of the secrets of her sporting success. With medals from World, Commonwealth and European Championships she is one of Scotland’s most decorated swimmers.
The inspirational character has also managed to juggle her sport with academia. She studied at Loughborough University before moving north to Edinburgh to complete a Masters degree, She retired from swimming last year.
