London 2012 Olympics: Andy Murray and Laura Robson taste doubles success

ANDY Murray also stepped up his medal hunt in the mixed doubles, partnering Laura Robson (right) to beat Radek Stepanek and Lucie
Hradecka 7-5, 6-7, 10-7.

The pair finally won the day on their fourth match point and today face Lleyton Hewitt and Sam Stosur. And just as in the singles, should Murray and Robson win and reach the semi-finals, they are in the mix for a medal, be it through the bronze medal play-off or a place in the final. “It’ll be tough,” Murray said. “Lleyton, he’s obviously known for his singles but he’s an excellent doubles player. They’re both very, very good and it will be tough.”
