Logan inspires Kirkliston to Inter County Top Ten success

Kirkliston have carried the West Lothian banner into the final days play of The Co-operative Funeralcare-sponsored Inter County Top Ten Tournament with an impressive 6-2 away win over Alva South of Clackmannan & Kinross.

Ray Logan played the spearhead role for the defending national champions to perfection with the former Scottish champion taking just 15-ends to race to a 21-8 triumph in the Singles over Lawrence Kennedy.

Neil Speirs skipped Steven Forrest to a good 22-9 win in the Pairs while Andy Suddon, Gordon Logan, Greg Logan and Grant Logan recovered from 6-12 to win the Fours, 18-15.

Mark Allison, Calum Logan, and John Aitken lost 13-8 in the Triples.

Midlothian champions, Musselburgh put up a bold fight to share the points 4-4 at home to Castle Douglas of The Stewartry; but made their exit on shot margin being outgunned 69-60 in that department.

Willie Rankin did his best to inspire Musselburgh in his spearhead role and gave the home support something to shout about with a brilliant 1, 3 finish to clinch a 21-17 victory in the Singles.
